Q. Can I trade in a base currency other than AUD?
A. Our award-winning trading platform, DealBook® 360, supports multiple currencies so traders are not required to familarise themselves with a new base currency. In addition to the AUD, DealBook® 360 currently supports USD, EUR, JPY, CHF, GBP, CAD and PLN. This feature offers you a more natural setting for determining your profits/losses as well as understanding your account statements.

Q. How do I change currencies or the language within DealBook® 360?
A. You can easily change the language or base currency after you have downloaded DealBook® 360 by selecting the File menu and clicking Configure Parameters. This screen displays a wide range of customisation choices, including the Currencies and Languages tab. Simply choose the currency or language you would like and click Save.

Q. When I log into DealBook® 360, a window pops up that reads “Connection options” with a space below it that reads “URL.”
A. You may receive this message if the DealBook® 360 connection URL is blank or incorrect. In the URL box, enter the necessary URL:

Q. What is the API?
A. The API (Application Programming Interface) allows developers to access the data in DealBook® 360 for use in other systems. The API is available through an approval process for all GFT customers with one or more GFT trading accounts, and equity of 100,000 USD or more. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about the API or to find out if you qualify.

Q. How do I automate my trading strategy in DealBook® 360?
A. Automated trading is available in DealBook® 360 version 2.8.918.12 or newer. To check your version of DealBook® 360, click Help -> About in DealBook® 360. If you are using an earlier version, please download the latest version at: www.gft.com.au/software/DealBook360/download.asp.
To begin automated trading, please read the ATS (Automated Trading Systems) guide available on our download page or at www.gft.com.au/documents/manuals/ATS%20Guide.pdf. The guide explains how to create a strategy or indicator, information on functions and code syntax, installing indicators and functions, back-testing, and adding a strategy to a chart for fully automated trading.

Q. Where can I find additional information or support for programming my own strategies and indicators?
A. We recommend visiting the Chart Studio™ forum to interact with others who are developing their own indicators, strategies and automated trading systems. You can access the forum at www.gft.com.au/forum.

Q. How do I use the crosshair tool on the charts?
A. You can use the crosshair tool by holding down your right mouse button while dragging your mouse pointer across the charts.

Q. How do I access DealBook® 360 if I am behind a firewall?
A. DealBook® 360, we includes a technology called "HTTP tunneling" that, in many cases, will bypass firewall or router restrictions.
- To enable HTTP tunneling, select your desired system (live or demo) from the DealBook® 360 login window, and click the three small dots (...) to the left of the login button.
- You will be presented with a Connection Options window.
- For the live system, change the URL to http://live.gftforex.com:80/naming.ior.
- For the demo system, change the URL to http://demo.gftforex.com:80/naming.ior.
- When the URL is changed, check the box labeled "Use HTTP Tunneling" and click "Ok."
- If you are able to connect after this, please refer to the firewall manufacturer's instructions, or contact the firewall manufacturer directly to see how you can add DealBook® 360 as a trusted application.
If your next login attempt does not connect, your computer likely has other firewall restrictions or is using a proxy server. To successfully access DealBook® 360, your proxy server must have ports 17326, 8080 and 443 open for bi-directional traffic. If this is not possible, it may be necessary to request a connection separate from the proxy server. Please contact your ISP or IT department with these instructions for information how the proxy can be lifted or reconfigured to allow access.

Q. When I tried to register for a demo account, I received a message that read, “You are already registered with another demo user.” What does this mean?
A. This means that you already had another demo account that expired, which means cannot register for another one. If you have an open account with GFT with a balance of over $1000.00, or have begun the account opening process, we can extend your demo account free of charge. Please send your live account number along with your Demo User ID and we can reactivate and extend your demo account. Contact us now.

Q. What do I do if I get the message "Your demo login has expired?"
A. This means that your demo account is expired and you should contact your forex specialist or our technical support department for assistance.

Q. How do I get my DealBook® 360 demo extended if I have a live trading account with a balance over $1000?
A. Please contact us with your name, live account number and demo user ID.

Q. How do I enable the Fibonacci Tools, Gann fan, calculator and the rest of the tools on my DealBook® 360 live account that I used on my demo account?
A. DealBook® 360’s charting services are divided into two packages: DealBook® 360 Basic Charting and DealBook® 360 Advanced Charting. Our free demo trading account provides our prospective customers with access to the DealBook® 360 Advanced Charting package so you can experience the full scope of tools available within DealBook® 360. Q. How do I set up SMS alarms in DealBook® 360?
A. Select File -> Configure -> Parameters -> User Details and enter your mobile phone number to begin receiving SMS alerts.

Q. Do you have more information on Fund Manager?
A. We appreciate your interest in our Fund Manager account option. To qualify as a money manger and access Fund Manager, you must be trading more than one account. This can be achieved by having more than one personal or corporate account under the same name, by having Limited Power of Attorney over multiple accounts, or a combination of these two. To open a live trading account with us, please click here to begin.
If you will be trading on behalf of someone else, we require the Limited Power of Attorney forms to be completed and returned to us. These forms are available here.
There are two parts to the Limited Power of Attorney. One is to be completed by the customer, the other by the designated Limited Power of Attorney. Pleae note that while having Limited Power of Attorney over an account does give another individual the power to trade the account, the that individual is not able to withdrawal funds from the account. Once you meet the requirements of being a money manager and would like to use the Fund Manager software, please contact us to set up the Fund Manager account. We also offer a demo-training period on the Fund Manager software. To obtain this, please apply for at least three demo accounts using our demo request form.
Please contact GFT with the User IDs that you wish to have linked as a demo Fund Manager.

Q. What do I do if I run the demo fix program and get an error message stating that the application is expired and to contact the vendor?
A. This messages means that the demo fix program that you have has expired. The demo fix program is time sensitive and must be run as soon as possible after you receive it. Also, please make sure that your computer clock is set to your correct date and time. If it is set incorrectly, it may cause the fix to prematurely expire. Please contact us to receive the updated fix.

Q. I use a computer that won’t allow me to install software. How can I trade with GFT?
A. Visit dealbookweb.demo.gftforex.com to login or to register for a free trial of our web-based application, DealBook® WEB. This web-based interface allows you to trade from any computer, with nothing to download.
