SYDNEY, Australia 26, August 2009 – GFT, one of the world’s largest online currency dealers and derivative market-makers, announced today that the company was named to the prestigious recommended lists of CFD and spot forex providers by AFR Smart Investor Magazine, Australia’s leading monthly investment magazine.

This is the second year in a row that GFT received two Blue Ribbon Awards for its innovation and excellence in delivering online financial services to traders throughout Australia, and beyond.

In 2009, a record number of traders have moved from traditional markets into to trading derivatives with pioneering companies like GFT.

“The trend will most likely continue, as more traders become interested in trading CFDs and the popular currency markets. People continue to want to manage their own destiny in the markets,” said Brendan Gunn, sales manager, Sydney, GFT.

According to Blue Ribbons Award criteria, CFD providers on their recommended list "have demonstrated consistency, based on low margins, product breadth and being able to offer the best trading platforms."

The spot forex providers on their list were applauded for representing the "best in features such as contract size and currency pairs."

“We’re honoured to be recognized by a trusted voice like Smart Investor. The award demonstrates our leadership in the industry, which can be seen in our continual growth and customer satisfaction,” said Gary L. Tilkin, president and CEO, GFT.

GFT has won major awards around the world for its products and services, including its DealBook® suite of trading platforms and year-over-year growth for the past five years.

About GFT

GFT spurred the online currency trading modernization in the late 1990s in the U.S., when it built the DealBook® trading platform, reinventing the way speculators were trading currency futures on exchange. Today, GFT is one of the leaders of the industry in innovation with its award-winning trading platform, web-based trading applications and mobile trading solutions. GFT is also spearheading a revolution in market education with its online currency portal FX360.com, its world-renowned currency research team and continued advancement of market-trading technology.
