About GFT: Press Releases
GFT Lowers FX SpreadsSYDNEY, 5 May 2008 — Forex and CFD provider, GFT, has sharpened its pencil to provide highly attractive terms for currency traders on both spot forex and forex CFD markets, as it offers even more highly competitive prices. Effective today (5 May), the company has reduced spreads on many of its currency pairs, making quotes on some popular trades as low as one-pip wide. At the same time it will retain a maximum spread cap for each currency pair that it offers. “We already offer individual traders among the largest choice of currencies with more than 120 currency pairs, and our new highly competitive pricing will begin at as low as one pip for major pairs, including EUR/USD, EUR/GBP, USD/JPY and EUR/CHF,” said Simon Marmot, Australian marketing director, GFT. “Our Australian dollar pairs are highly competitive. We will offer only 2 pips on AUD/USD and 3 pips on AUD/JPY trades, for example. “We are one of few brokers to cap our spreads, so traders know what to expect, and won’t see extreme fluctuations during times of market volatility. However, most times our spreads will be quoted lower, as low as one pip,” Mr. Marmot commented.
