Although our demo system is mainly based on live prices, the liquidity available in the “demo” mode may not always reflect the actual liquidity available when trading a “live” account. For example, when trading forex, the non G7 currencies (“exotics”) do not have as liquid a market as the “majors.” Because of the illiquidity of some of these markets, GFT permits its customers to trade on the demo system via a price feed generating indicative prices, which may not reflect live tradable prices. Thus, a $5 million trade in a "live" account for an exotic currency pair may be virtually impossible, and doing so in the "demo" mode does not reflect the real world.
